LUMINARY WORKSHOPS

Loalynda Bird will be teaching a series of workshops at Paper Birds Studio. You will be creating a beautiful Earth Day Luminary lantern to carry on April 20, 2024 in her annual EARTH DAY PARADE! This year the parade will be held in Anacortes. Meet at the Depot at 7:00 pm and the parade starts at 8:00 pm on a flat circuit through downtown.

MORNING ADULT LUMINARY WORKSHOP

When: February 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 10am to 12pm
You will have designs to choose from.
Cost: 6 classes is $65. Materials included.

 

EVENING ADULT LUMINARY WORKSHOP #2

When: February 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22
Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 6pm to 8 pm
You will have designs to choose from.
Cost: 6 classes is $65. Materials included.

 

CHILDRENS LUMINARY ONE DAY CLASS
When: March 30th, Saturday
Time: 11am – 1pm
Cost: $10. Materials included.
*Parental supervision required!

Meet the Instructor

Loalynda Bird, a versatile artist with a background in hair design and Emmy-nominated makeup artistry, has had a diverse career spanning London, Paris, and Los Angeles. Now residing on Guemes Island, she is known for her luminary art, painted rocks, and community involvement, aiming to spread beauty, light, and positive energy through her illustrations and creative events. Loalynda inspires with her art, offering luminary and mandala rock painting classes at her Paper Birds Studio.
