ART STUDIO TOUR
Congratulations and thank you to the 34 artists and all others who participated in the Guemes Island Art Studio Tour this last weekend. Thank you to all of you who visited the studios and supported this amazing group of talented islanders. Our head count is hardly scientific but Atlas Studio, near the top of the mountain, had a marble counting system that recorded 156 visitors. While we expected 30 artists, four more joined in to be part of the fun and offer their products and creations.
Marietta Harrigan
Marietta Harrigan is a painter who beautifully captures her surroundings. Her tools are oils and pastels, and the results are exceptional pieces of art.
Allen Moe
Allen Moe is an artist the likes of which people have rarely seen. His mediums include chicken feet, bones, fish parts, road kill, latex caulk, and a cement-like compound. The resulting artwork is unique, to say the least.
