Loalynda Bird will be teaching a series of workshops on Guemes Island. You will be creating a beautiful Earth Day Luminary to carry on April 22, 2023, in our 5th ANNUAL GUEMES ISLAND EARTH DAY PARADE!
MORNING ADULT LUMINARY (BEGINNING) WORKSHOP #1
When: March 9th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Time: 11:00 am to 1:00 pm
Cost: 5 classes is $65 includes materials.
You will have 4 different designs to choose from.
EVENING ADULT LUMINARY (RETURNING) WORKSHOP #2
When: March 7th, 9th, 14th, 16th, 21st, 23rd (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Time: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm
Cost: 6 classes is $75 includes materials.
You may use one of our designs or your own!
CHILDRENS LUMINARY ONE DAY CLASS
When: Saturday, April 15th
Time: 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm
Cost: $10

Classes are held in Paper Birds Studio located at 5049 South Shore Drive, Guemes Island.
Loalynda has had a unique and varied career as an artist. She has been a hair designer, salon owner, make-up artist, producer and director of numerous fashion shows, illustration artist, luminary artist, and more. Guemes Islanders know her best from her painted rocks and luminaries. Loalynda knew she wanted to encourage creativity and bring light to Guemes Island through and thus created Paper Birds Studio where she teaches multiple luminary workshops, rock painting classes, and more.
